Britain’s Prince William, Kate name second child Princess Charlotte – palace

LONDON, ENGLAND (BNO NEWS) -- Britain's Prince William and his wife Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, the royal palace announce on Monday, just two days after the girl was born in London.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana," the palace said in an emailed statement. "The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge."

Princess Charlotte was born at St Mary's Hospital in London at 8:34 a.m. on Saturday, weighing 8 pounds and 3 ounces. She is now fourth in the line of succession to the British throne, following Prince Charles, her father Prince William, and her brother Prince George.
