Clinton’s support among Democrats tumbles in wake of controversies

The share of Democratic primary voters who prefer Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House has tumbled in the wake of controversies about the former secretary of state's use of email and donations to the Clinton Foundation, according to a new poll released on Monday.

The poll, by the Wall Street Journal and NBC News, showed that support among Democratic primary voters fell from 75 percent in June to 59 percent currently. It also showed that more women view her negatively than positively, by 45 percent to 41 percent, and positivity toward her among African-Americans has dropped from 81 percent to 66 percent.

Meanwhile, support for Bernie Sanders is up from 15 percent to 25 percent.
