BJS Releases Indicators Of School Crime And Safety: 2016

WASHINGTON, May 16, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) and the Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) released Indicators of School Crime and Safety: 2016.

This annual report, a joint effort by BJS and NCES, presents data on crime and safety at school from the perspectives of students, teachers and principals. It contains 23 indicators on topics including victimization, teacher injury, bullying and cyber-bullying, school conditions, fights, weapons, use of drugs and alcohol, perceptions of personal safety and crime at postsecondary institutions.
